There were 20 people on the RMI Mount Rainier Expedition. For two nights I heard stories from team mates that had you laughing until it hurt, or almost brought you to tears. Many had been all over the world, from all walks of life. We talked for hours above the clouds at 10,500 feet. Then it was off to the top of Mount St. Helens. I can remember being in public school when it erupted. It was the largest landslide in recorded history. Looking down into the crater rim was surreal. The Pacfic Northwest did not disappoint. It makes you feel alive, even when you are cold and wet, your legs are aching and blown out, your heels are blistered and the surf beats you up, you keep wanting to come back for more.
